Important update for all employers in Cyprus!

A new law on breastfeeding rooms is coming into force in July 2026 — and it affects every workplace and public space on the island.

Here's what you need to know:

✅ Dedicated breastfeeding rooms must be provided in all workplaces

✅ The room must ensure full privacy, proper lighting, ventilation and accessibility

✅ It must include a comfortable chair, clean surface, handwashing access and a refrigerator for breast milk storage

✅ Public spaces such as airports, shopping centres, hotels, hospitals and more are also required to provide breastfeeding facilities

This is not optional — it is a legal requirement.
