The work
What it's like to work here
Working at OneJar means doing actual HR work for real businesses. Drafting contracts that protect both employer and employee. Running payroll cycles that have to be right every month. Handling a difficult termination conversation properly. Sitting in a client's office, in their HR seat, owning their function.
It's not consulting. We don't sell strategy slides and then leave. We embed in client businesses and run the work — longer-term relationships, real ownership of outcomes, and the kind of HR experience that builds genuine career depth.
The work is varied. One day you might be designing an employee handbook; the next, working through a redundancy process; the next, building a recruitment pipeline for a senior hire. Cyprus HR has texture, and you get exposure to all of it.
Who fits
We hire HR practitioners, not HR theorists
They've done real HR work before
At least 2–3 years inside an operating business, hands on contracts, payroll, employee relations or recruitment delivery. We rarely hire from pure consulting backgrounds without operational experience.
They take ownership
Our HR partners run client accounts end-to-end — responsible for the relationship, the outcomes and the quality of the work.
They communicate clearly
Cyprus HR involves many conversations with employees, owners, regulators and lawyers. Clarity beats jargon here.
They want to keep learning
Cyprus employment law changes, EU directives evolve, workforce dynamics shift. The people who enjoy that curve enjoy OneJar.
