The transition

Switching to OneJar — what to expect

Most companies hesitate to outsource HR not because they doubt the model, but because they worry the transition will be a mess. Here's exactly how we handle it — from first audit to go-live in 30 days. We've done this dozens of times — and we've yet to leave a transition unfinished.

1DAYS 1–14

Audit & Introduce

We map your current HR setup completely, agree scope and a project plan — then we come and meet your people, and introduce ourselves as your HR team, not an external vendor.

2DAYS 15–21

Embed & Migrate

We become part of your company: a company email (hr@yourcompany.com), your Slack or Teams, your HR phone line. To employees and candidates, we are your HR team. In parallel we migrate data, review contracts, and exit any vendors being replaced.

3DAYS 22–30

Go-Live & Run

Full operational handover. Payroll runs through OneJar, queries route through us, monthly cycles settle. By Day 30 it doesn't look new — it just looks like a well-run HR function.

FAQ

How quickly can OneJar take over our HR?+

Standard transitions go live within 30 days — two weeks of audit and introductions, one week to embed and migrate, and full go-live by Day 30. For urgent situations — a compliance issue, a key HR person leaving, a sudden recruitment push — we can move even faster. Scope is agreed in the first call; embedding starts within two weeks.

What happens to our existing HR person?+

Two common paths. If you have an execution-heavy generalist, we typically take that workload off them — freeing them for strategic work, or parting ways amicably if the role no longer fits. If you have a senior HR head, we work alongside them: they own strategy and relationships; we deliver execution at depth. We work it out together.

How does OneJar pricing work — what should I expect?+

OneJar is a single monthly fee that scales with your tier and headcount. For organisations above 20 employees, pricing is scoped to your size, sector and HR complexity — there's no off-the-shelf number until we understand your situation. The first conversation includes a transparent walkthrough of what your engagement would cost.

What if we want to bring HR back in-house later?+

You can. Every engagement is built with a clean exit path: your data lives in our HRIS but is owned by you, and we provide structured transition support. Companies typically move away from outsourcing past 150+ employees — at which point we help you hire the in-house HR Director and hand over cleanly.

Do you work with international companies that have Cyprus operations?+

Yes — they're a core part of our client base. We become your in-country HR team while reporting upward to your global HR or operations lead. The model fits when you need Cyprus-specific compliance, payroll and people management delivered locally, without building that capability internally.

What HRIS do you use, and who owns our data?+

OneJar is the exclusive Cyprus reseller for OrangeHRM. Your employee data lives in your own OrangeHRM instance, owned by your company, with OneJar as data processor under GDPR. If we ever part ways, your data exports cleanly and stays with you. Data Processing Agreements are signed at engagement start.
